SECTION 1
Producer
John Jordan-Frohlich or "Frolic" to his friends, has been a
professional music producer and recording engineer for the past 30 years. During
this time, John has produced, engineered and mixed many of
Australia's top hit records, commercial campaigns and film and TV
soundtracks. From the mid 1960's John' interests were singing and
playing in his successful R & R Band, recording and live systems
design, piano tuning and restoration of stringed instruments. He
studied all modes of music from Western Classical to R & R and
blues. Japanese, Indian, Arabic and Aboriginal Music also played
an integral part in his development. John has also collected instruments
from all over the world and has become a competent musician
on guitars, cello, sitar, sarod, tabla, koto and just about anything
with strings.
SECTION 2
Engineer
In the early 1970's John became House Engineer at Australia's largest
studio complex at Festival Records in Sydney. From that
point in time he went on to engineer, produce and develop many of
Australia's top selling artists.
SECTION 3
Composer During
the 80's John's skills had expanded to include composition for movie
soundtracks. He managed studios, designed the most elaborate
recording and live music systems and continued working with many artists
recording music as diverse as Country to Classical, Rock to Pop, Punk to
Rap and Dance to Theatre. Moving with the times and the advent of
the digital domain , he got into computer composition. In the '90's John was invited
to the USA on several occasions to produce a hot L.A hard rock band and
a Nashville country music crooner. Now in the 2000's and
after composing for the Olympics Opening Ceremony, John maintains
his working schedule at some of the finest American and Australian
studios. With the forever changing fashions in music, John remains at the
forefront of music production and recording technology.
SECTION 4
Piano Tuner
Caught up in the exciting teen years of the sixties
and seventies, John spent his summers surfing, singing and playing
guitar with his successful local band. He also became fascinated
in instrument restoration ( no doubt brought on by necessity,
considering his ferocious guitar antics). On the quieter side,
John found himself enjoying the fine art of piano tuning, and developed
a healthy business doing just that. He now practices this art in
conjunction with John Elleson, Master Restorer, at North Shore
Pianos.
SECTION 5
Homoeopath
John currently has his Certificate of Homoeopathy and is in his final
year of training for his Dip. Hom. He practices homoeopathy under
the supervision of other qualified homoeopaths (as is required)
and sees a future in combining his musical talents and healing powers to
bring about a revolution in the art and science of this medical
approach.
